Summary:

Goldbelt is seeking an experienced Project Manager who also has experience in business development and project management. The Project Manager will lead and develop multiple projects while seeking new business opportunities in the Alaska portfolio. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Establish profitability goals and strategies to achieve them; manage and control internal cost to ensure profitability.Manage and administrate contracts, ensure risks are properly identified and managed on a daily basis.Prepares and coordinates project reports and drawing reviews at all project phases including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phases.Participate in marketing efforts and business development strategies for development of new business. Leverage relationships to identify new opportunities. Assist in pursuit efforts, including presentations, for new opportunities.Oversee setup and administration of all business plans, estimate adjustments, cost control and reporting.Chairs and schedules project meetings, prepares agendas, develops and maintains master project budgets and timelines for each project and project phase to ensure overall objectives are met.Assist with pre-qualification process for bidders, develop and solicit responses to RFP's/RFQ's, assist the Vice President of Operations in selecting the appropriate project delivery method.Oversee the change management process; assist with development and implementation of design changes and project teams with analysis and recommendations regarding architect and contractor change order requests. Review all change orders before being sent to the Vice President of Operations and other relevant stakeholders.Directly participates in the marketing and presentation of services to clients.Reviews requisitions, change orders and other invoices associated with the project.Reports to the Vice President of Operations major problems and findings and results achieved along with specific, complete, and comprehensive recommendations.Oversee projects through to project close out; development and adherence to pre-construction schedules and construction milestones, accurate and timely tracking of submittals, RFI's and other critical project documentation, weekly and monthly reporting to the Vice President of Operations.Assist with development and review of all cost estimates; ensure cost estimates are being prepared at appropriate stages of design.Prepare and submit monthly status reports and cost projections, review for accuracy in coding and processing of invoices. Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

Able to employ a broad range of acquisition and project management principles and methodology to integrate the efforts and align the priorities of the key stakeholders in the project lifecycle.Strong knowledge of construction project management and business development.Thorough understanding of schedules, project budgets, submittals, change orders, and job costs.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Should possess a high level of competency in the ability to manage project activities and be a self-starter.Must be customer-service oriented, dependable, attentive to detail and willing to assist other team members as workloads require. Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or accuracy.Ability to collaborate with business partners at all levels.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear manner to a variety of audiences in person or virtual setting.Strong computer literacy to include Microsoft Office Suite and other proprietary industry software.Ability to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic corporate environment.Skill in working harmoniously within cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt messages and strategies for diverse audiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline; and/or related experienceMinimum five (5) years in project management and/or business development experience or related experiences.Experience in marketing, business development or sales across a myriad of different projects and opportunities. Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum five (5) years of experience in a role performing financial analysis, budgeting, and planning for projects.Project Management Professional (PMP).Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) and/or previous exposure to Alaska Native cultures.
Previous government contracting experience.
