Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Education& Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s in mechanics, chemistry, electronics, glass/material engineering or science. PMP a plus 5+ years of high-tech, glass or display related application experience. Research engineer/ Integration engineer /Application engineer /Project management/Fracture analysis experience a plus
Required Skills Strong problem-solving skills, ability to stay calm under difficult situations and communicate clearly across organization. Extensive knowledge of display/glass industry Ability to engage and interact effectively with internal groups to assure the right process flow is taking place. And also the ability to work/communicate across varied international cultures. Strong English communication skills Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for both internal and external customers Solid mechanical modeling or statistic analysis/predication experience as plus, e/g Finite Element Analysis/Minitab/JMP…
