What you’ll be doing

Role Overview: Codal is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead fast-paced projects that deliver packaged eCommerce site experiences for SMB clients. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of eCommerce projects, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining high-quality standards, and exceeding client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in eCommerce, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

Lead end-to-end management of packaged eCommerce delivery projects, from initiation to completion. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and scope while ensuring alignment with client objectives. Define milestones, deliverables, and timelines for fast-paced SMB projects.

Client Engagement

Serve as the primary point of contact for SMB clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Understand client needs and expectations, translating them into actionable project requirements. Proactively address client concerns and adjust project approaches to maintain satisfaction.

Team Coordination

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and QA, to ensure seamless project execution. Facilitate team ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to maintain alignment and momentum. Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, ensuring timely resolution.

Delivery Excellence

Ensure that eCommerce site experiences are delivered on time, within budget, and meet Codal’s high-quality standards. Monitor progress and performance, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and clients. Leverage Codal’s pre-existing eCommerce frameworks and processes for SMB engagements to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.

Process Improvement

Continuously identify opportunities to streamline project processes for SMB engagements. Contribute to Codal’s Delivery Center of Excellence by sharing insights and best practices specific to SMB eCommerce delivery.

What you’ll need to be successful (Requirements)

BS/BA in relevant program, or equivalent work experience 3–5 years of experience managing eCommerce or web development projects, ideally for SMBs or smaller fast-paced engagements in general. Experience with one or more established eCommerce platforms Strong understanding of eCommerce development processes, including CMS configuration, frontend/backend development, and QA. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to work with SMB clients. Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban. Ability to multitask and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
