**Project Lead, Workforce Planning**
**About this opportunity\.\.\.**
The Project Lead, Workforce Planning plays a central role in how Ross' business plans are actioned through the organization's greatest asset \(our people\)\. In this role you will use your creativity, influence, and your strong strategic mindset to guide your partners through a balancing act of short\- and long\-term goals, business issues, while striving to do the right thing for each associate\. The Project Lead, Workforce Planning is a strategic partner to the Ross and dd's Buying Office business, HR, and financial executives\. This position leads long\-term workforce, organizational design and strategic staffing shifts for Merchant, Planning and Support divisions\. You will be a key advisor to business and HR leaders during the annual Workforce Planning process \- influencing how short\- and long\-term business strategies are achieved through Ross & dd's associates, and how our suite of talent programs coordinate to support those goals\. In this role you will combine your strong strategic, influencing, and analytics skills to develop and recommend solutions that balance the needs of our associates with overall company objectives\. This role is part of the Workforce Strategy and Analytics \(WSA\) team, where you and your colleagues will create and deploy new insights and new approaches that improve the operations, talent practices, and results for our associates and business overall\.
The base salary/pay range for this role is $75,700\- $105,000\. The base salary/pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location\. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees\. Other rewards vary by position and location\.
**What you will do and what you will learn\.\.\.**
+ Collaborate with senior executives and cross\-functional teams to understand their business and people priorities so that you can develop and recommend short\- and long\-term workforce, organizational and human capital plans that will accomplish those objectives\.
+ Lead the annual Workforce Planning process for assigned business units\.
- Collect and evaluate business data to develop a long\-term, 3\-year workforce plan that meets anticipated business needs and growth\.
- Partner with HR business partners to evaluate associate career needs and align business and individual priorities in the short and long\-term\.
- Effectively blend quantitative and qualitative data, both at a micro and macro level, to develop workforce strategies that maximize the performance of the business and associates\.
- Trusted partner; influences leaders to develop long\-range plans that are consistent with company objectives and workforce planning best practices\.
+ Continuously improve \(and where needed, create\) business facing materials, business & talent analytics, and data warehouses to efficiently monitor key business & talent trends, and proactively connect those trends to current and future workforce & succession plans\.
+ Ensure key workforce planning information is updated, maintained regularly and on a timely basis, and appropriately shared with partners\.
+ Complete ad hoc projects, as assigned\.
+ Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality; handles sensitive data with discretion
**What you need to be successful\.\.\.**
+ 3 \- 5 years Human Resources experience\. \(HR Generalist, Workforce Planning, Organizational Design, Talent Development, Succession Planning or related preferred, not required\)\.
+ Very strong communication \(both oral and written\) and customer service skills\. Ability to influence HR and business partners at all levels\.
+ Operates in a complex work environment; deals comfortably with ambiguity, exercises independent judgment and problem\-solving skills
+ Works well in a fast\-paced environment, under the pressure of deadlines, with flexibility to adjust to changing priorities\.
+ Proficiency at an intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint\.
+ BA / BS required\.
+ Basic knowledge of formal organizational design principles and talent analytics \(preferred\)\.
