Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Facilitator.

In this role, the successful candidate The Family Health Centers at NYU Langones mission is to improve the health of underserved communities by delivering high-quality, culturally competent health care and human services. Recognizing that health depends upon an individuals economic, educational and employment status, FHCs Department of Community-Based Programs offers an extensive continuum of family strengthening and community development programs to address the broader needs of the community, including adult education; case management and supportive services; mental health services; early childhood centers; and community service opportunities. The Job Readiness Coordinator will focus on the vocational and higher educational needs of program participants and community members, providing workforce soft skills development and access to training, employment. They will work in small groups and one-on-one with participants to: assess skills and needs, set career and training goals, develop career plans, follow up on progress, secure placements in internships, employment and training, and support retention by addressing individual life barriers. The Job Readiness Coordinator also provides coordination and support for Community Programs workforce initiatives, including, but not limited to, special event coordination and training programs. They will work with an interdisciplinary social service and educational team to ensure integration of services and achievement of participant goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct outreach and recruitment for eligible program participants, collaborating with training partners, local businesses and internal and external stakeholders Design and conduct workforce readiness and college readiness workshopsSupport the coordination of workforce development training courses following best practice models, including I-BEST. Develop and maintain relationships with employers and organizations that offer training programsDevelop and maintain partnerships with internship sites that meet needs and interests of program participantScreen and place program participants in internships, apprenticeships and jobs. Provide follow-up employment retention support.Provide one-on-one and small group coaching and counseling to participants on professional skills and tools such as resume writing, interviewing techniques, and job search strategies.Adapting to changing workforce development and higher education policies Coordinate special events, including job fairs, graduations, achievement ceremonies and career panels.Facilitate access to additional resources to help program participants overcome potential barriers to training and employmentAchieves monthly benchmarks as determined by funding agencies and program leadershipSupport the preparation of program grant proposals and reportsProvide data collection, entry and reports for tracking and monitoring progress toward achievement of performance measures for all participants enrolled in workforce trainings.Other special projects as they arise 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a B.A. At least two years of experience working with adolescents and/or young adults

Must be a team player
Appreciation for the unique needs of participants
Interest in and awareness of working with culturally, linguistically and economically diverse communities
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders including program participants, internship placement sites, workforce partners, partner agencies, businesses and employers
Demonstrated commitment to a philosophy that is participatory and input oriented, values problem solving, and promotes the development of partnerships
A willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,137.15 - $55,244.57 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
