This position develops, quantifies, costs, and provides a complete capital expenditure (CapEx) model for evaluating projects. CapEx models include all engineering, material, direct construction, and indirect construction costs. Employees in this role provide technical guidance, estimating knowledge, market pricing, and staffing considerations during the estimating process.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
 

Prepares capital cost estimates Review designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives when appropriate Coordinate and interface on a regular basis with other departments to ensure communication and understanding of proposal/project objectives and the most efficient and productive utilization of resources Review layouts, designs and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggests alternatives when appropriate Remains current with technology and industry evolution in order to assure that project capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditions Establish, build and implement metric’s for cost and construction estimate

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Experience: Entry Level  

 Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in the following Fields of Study Engineering – Mechanical Engineering – Civil Construction Science Construction Management Experience:1+ years in estimating or construction on large, heavy civil projects in the power market sector Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in renewables.
