Project Engineering Manager
Our client is looking for a Project Engineering Manager (contractor) to support the development of their CAPEX project within the Energy Transition (based on own technology).

The Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities, including Conceptual, Basic, and FEED Engineering. This role requires a deep understanding of industry standards, engineering best practices, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working with licensors, contractors, and solid handling operators/investors in the petrochemical and chemical sectors.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage engineering teams throughout project phases, including Conceptual, Basic, and FEED Engineering.
• Collaborate with licensors, contractors, and solid handling operators/investors to ensure alignment with project goals and industry standards.
• Oversee the development of engineering designs, specifications, and deliverables, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments, including procurement, construction, and project management, to ensure successful project execution.
• Review and approve technical documentation, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and detailed design calculations.
• Develop and implement engineering best practices, guidelines, and procedures to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Drive innovation by identifying and integrating new technologies, methods, and approaches in project designs.

Requested:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in (project) engineering management within the petrochemical, chemical, or solid handling industries.
• Proven track record in managing Conceptual, Basic, and FEED Engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of licensor packages, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience collaborating with contractors, licensors, and solid handling operators/investors.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools commonly used in the industry.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Already living and working in The Netherlands.
