This position reports to

Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.Product Strategy•\tWorking with PM to support LPG deploy the product strategy.•\tSupport PM to monitor & optimize the product strategy implementation.Product launch•\tWorking with PM to support the offering development process from project specification to offering launch.•\tWorking with PM to assist sales and marketing teams in the launch and selling of new offering.Product maintenance and improvement•\tProposes new offering development or offering enhancements in order to offer suitable and unique solutions to customer needs.•\tCollaborate with R&D and PM to develop new offering solution according to product roadmap, responsible for DTO/order-relatived R&D from factory side.•\tSupports PM on product performance monitoring, e.g. cost analysis, sales volume, offering configuration, … as well as product documentations maintenance•\tSupports cost saving, quality improvement, CCRP, and other OPEX activities.•\tProduct maintenance and upgrade according to product strategy and leading TC TOT decision.•\tContributes to the definition of new offering technical characteristics by providing specific expertise.Customer relations•\tCollaborates with ABB internal teams (i.e. Quality, Engineering, TC and Supply Chain, ) to ensure customer satisfaction. •\tAssists with resolution of customer offering issues and may accompany internal partners to customer sites.Training•\tSupport PM to deliver new offering training to internal teams and customers•\tRegular training and sharing for FAQ and typical technical topic

Qualifications for the role

-\tBachelor degree with major electrics or mechanics-\tAt least 5 years’ working experience in product areas-\tWith good knowledge and skills in MV products or switchgears-\tWith good knowledge of electrics and mechanics-\tGood communication and coordination skills both internal and external-\tSkillful in problem solving by using statistical techniques-\tPrefer to familiar with grid components -\tGood English skill in speaking, reading and writing-\tGood collaboration with other functions and team work-\tHigh responsibility and ownership
