POSITION SUMMARY:
The District Engineer will be responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of our Terminals by providing engineering oversight and support utilizing a risk-based process. This role will also be responsible in helping drive resolution to issues by facilitating the Stop-Help-Start process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Collaborate with Terminal Services Budget Coordinator to support reliable operations through the management of the expense and maintenance capital budgets
Project Idea Form (PIF) processes.Leads PIF Process and support Project Risk Ranking for non-growth project.2.) Participate in sponsor meetings for projects
Gain alignment on scope and justification, collaborating with L3S, Terminal SMEs, Program Leads, and Business Operations for alignment3.) Provide engineering oversite and support to L&S Terminals
Provide support to districts during operations led projectsCollaborate with Operations and support personnel to evaluate opportunities to drive efficiency and improve operations.4.) Provide regular communication with Terminal Operations Leadership through daily/weekly notes and reoccurring update meetings. Act as the Terminal Services liaison to ensure Operations is up-to-date on status of projects, PIFs, and risk ranking results.
5.) Provide engineering support during abnormal or emergency projects
Includes participation in incident responses for Tier I and II events
6.) Provide necessary operational and technical support for the Management of Change (MOC) by serving as Terminals element owner.
7.) Lead and/or participate on teams or programs as assigned by Leadership
8.) Stop-Help-Start Coordination
Share the facilitation of Stop-Help-Start (SHS) calls on behalf of L&S Terminals as assigned by the scheduleProvide meeting notes to the stakeholder team and track action items to resolutionPosition will be on call to support after hour SHS calls. Utilize the SHS tool to drive a clear resolution to issues as they occur. Serve as SHS SMEShare the coordination of the morning notes process to Leadership on assigned days Drive continuous improvement of the processEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.Work Experience 5 + years industry experience preferred.Location and Travel Expectation
