Description: **ABOUT THE ROLE** Join us for continued growth, strategy and development! The Project Engineer Decarbonization is a high-energy individual who will support the engineering development and realization of various Decarbonization projects, including carbon capture and storage projects (CCUS), supporting Holcim Net Zero's strategy to decarbonize cement operations. This role requires a solid technical background, project management experience and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. *** Hybrid Role *** work from your home office and our Dundee, MI corporate office (located near Ann Arbor, MI and Toledo,OH) **WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING** + Ensure that group safety and security policies are implemented for each project and that these projects are delivered with zero harm, upholding the highest standards in health and safety. + Support the development of project business cases, consisting of scope, technical descriptions,scenarios, costs and paybacks for executive and board approval. + Initiate and seek opportunities within cement plants to reduce carbon footprint and prepare business cases. + Engage and manage in a professional and effective manner the relationships required with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and construction and service companies. + Closely collaborate with external engineering companies and consultants to identify optimal technical solutions. + Supports the development of budgets and cost estimation by applying Holcim engineering standards and industry best practices. + Prepares and delivers planning and progress reports to management and executive team members. + Perform engineering evaluation and simulations to validate design concepts and ensure industry standards and regulations comply. **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR** Education: Bachelor's degree Required Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer in a similar role possibly in the cement industry or heavy industry. Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and equivalent Google Suite products and Project Management software. Travel Requirements: up to 50% Additional Requirements: + Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. + Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
