Project Engineer
Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead and manage capital projects and corporate/plant initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, managing, and integrating project development plans, and monitoring their progress to ensure successful completion. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with team members and utilize necessary tools to drive project success. Responsibilities + Actively lead the planning and implementation of capital projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. + Develop full-scale project plans, define project tasks, and allocate resources effectively. + Assemble and coordinate project staff, manage project budget, and schedule project timelines. + Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and provide direction and support to the project team. + Constantly monitor and report on project progress to all stakeholders and present reports defining project status. + Identify project obstacles and implement solutions to achieve project outputs. + Manage project changes to ensure successful project outcomes. + Work closely with Plant Maintenance Manager and maintenance team leaders to integrate new project systems. + Assist in the development of proposals and RFPs. Essential Skills + 5 years of engineering experience in a plant environment with at least 2 years managing projects. + Ability to present complex technical information to internal and external customers. + Experience working on cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Safety, etc.). + Demonstrated understanding and expert proficiency in Project Management software, such as MS Project. + Proficiency in AutoCAD. + PMP certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in food manufacturing and food processing. Work Environment Most work is performed in an office setting. The role requires travel to various processing facilities, including periodic overnight travel. Work may involve moving through project sites with exposure to dust, high noise levels, and other industrial conditions. Typical conditions may include prolonged sitting, standing, and walking. Flexibility in working hours is required as needed. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
