Summary:
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to manage projects, oversee engineering work, and actively participate in mechanical design tasks for heavy-duty material handling products.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience with heavy equipment Experience with sheet metal, welded/bolted machine structures, powertrain systems, and hydraulics Proficient with CAD and PDM systems (ideally Autodesk Inventor and Vault)

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with suppliers for component specification Familiarity with engineering calculations such as tolerance stacks, free body diagrams, and stress/strain analysis

Job Responsibilities:

Manage projects and create project plans to deliver designs to specification on schedule Coordinate with machine system development groups to ensure compatibility and meet project requirements Develop mechanical designs for new and existing products Perform or oversee design activities related to sheet metal, welded/bolted structures, powertrain systems, and hydraulics Conduct engineering calculations to support design activities Specify purchased components and collaborate with part suppliers as needed Ensure key design deliverables are met, perform QA reviews, and check drawings for completeness Coordinate engineering tasks with offsite engineers at E91 Engineering Design Centers, including defining work scope, overseeing progress, and incorporating deliverables into the PDM system Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external parts and service providers

Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
