Project Engineer

Role summary:

Order Engineering department is responsible of fulfilling the engineering requirements when an order is received, and customize the design to fulfill customer needs.

Responsibilities:

Hydraulic review to adapt existing products to customer needsReview of technical specifications and other technical documentation in the purchase order and quotation, to define the modifications needed to the product to fulfill order requirementsCreation of Customer required drawings (General Arrangement drawing, Cross Sectional drawing, P&ID, etc) to integrate Flowserve equipment in customer installationsCreation of technical specifications of Buy-Outs (motors, couplings, mechanical seals, variable speed couplings, lube oil systems, filters, special valves, etc)Definition and execution of the mechanical design of the equipmentCreation of Pump Layout drawingsPerforming the Design ReviewCreation of detail Manufacturing Drawings according Flowserve and Product guidelines and standards, for both pump and systemsCreation of Bill of MaterialsCreation of contractual Technical Documentation for customer information, customer comments, or approvalTechnical support to quotations related to pump and systemsSupport to Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing during the execution of the orderSupport during the commissioning and warranty period of the equipment

The Applied Product & System Engineer is part of the Order Engineering department, and has the following responsibilities:

Design the equipment following Flowserve standards and customer specificationsHydraulic reviewReview of technical specifications and other technical documentationCreation and transmission of design instructions to Design Engineers in charge of creating the drawingsTechnical coordination of engineering roles assigned to the orderCreation of technical specifications of Buy-OutsCreation of contractual Technical Documentation (other than drawings)Technical support to quotationsSupport to Supply Chain, Quality and ManufacturingSupport during the commissioning and warranty period

Requirement:

Bachelors or a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or similarExperience with Pumps or Turbines (2 years minimum)Advance knowledge of Ms Excel, and ability to be able to take real benefit from the computer tools to gain efficiency in the daily workFluent in English verbal and written communication is required; other languages are a plusGood interpersonal and communication skillsActing as a team player. Persistent, creative and service mentality are also important skillsReadiness to travel internationally in a percentage of 10% approx.

Experience with programming around MS Office applicationsERP (Oracle) knowledgeContinuous improvement skills (Lean)Risk Assessment experience in technical backgroundCustomer oriented, experience in front of customer to solve technical issues
