Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Target Rock team!

As our Project Engineer you will, direct all engineering aspects of assigned projects related to design, development, and supply of valves and other equipment for Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve applications. You will provide support to planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, contracts, programs, and assembly departments, as required, including proposals needing engineering inputs, engineering changes (ECOs), vendor support, quality audits and corrective action boards, and dispositioning of non-conforming hardware. Additionally, you will provide the primary technical support to Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve Customers.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY

Salary/hourly rate: $64,400 to $92,999

Your Challenge

Provides timely support to contracts, programs, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, assembly departments, as required, from proposal through deliveryReview of purchase order technical requirements including specifications for compliance with proposed design           Provides the technical interpretation of applicable specifications and codes imposed on deliverable itemsPrepare and, if applicable, make the appropriate technical submittals to Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve CustomersPreparation design drawings and procedures, as necessary, to meet order requirementsRelease of design drawings and proceduresPreparation and review of design and qualification reports, if necessaryDirects qualification test programs and any other testing program contracted by Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve CustomersDisposition of non-conforming equipment in a timely mannerPrepare the technical instructions for assembly and test operations ensuring contract requirements are fulfilledResolution of assembly and test problems for Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve ProductsSupports bid and proposal activities for Defense and Non-Nuclear Valve ProductsResolve technical issues during product flow from Engineering Release through product shipmentNotify program manager of any potential issues that may affect progress of the projectMonitor hardware through TR Operations and with our suppliers to ensure there are no technical issues stopping product flowReport component and valve status to the customer when requestedTravel to customers/subvendors as requiredPrepares Engineering Ordering Specifications (EOS) and Procurement Specifications (PRS) adequately to ensure all technical requirements are sufficiently passed to suppliersAdditional responsibilities as assigned by Manager.          

What You Bring

Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Government Security ClearanceFour (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Nuclear) or equivalent experienceProfessional Engineering Registration or advanced Engineering Degree (preferred)Power Plant Systems training (preferred)Knowledge of Mathcad, AutoCAD, and ANSYS (not required, but preferred)Knowledge of products and industry requirements.Working knowledge of applicable product specifications.Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and ANSYS
