Your role and responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIESTechnical contribution•\tEvaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments.•\tProvides technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.•\tPrepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables. Customer and Sales•\tFinalizes ‘fail-safe philosophy’, “secure-by-design principles”, and other key concepts as part of kick-off and design freeze meetings.•\tParticipates in project meetings and resolves any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations.•\tAssists in preparing proposal / presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.). Technical leadership and knowledge sharing•\tApplies basic design thinking / design for excellence concepts in projects.•\tUtilizes checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.•\tContributes and shares experiences in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.•\tShares best practices / lessons-learned documentation across different projects and disciplines. Processes and tools•\tUses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility.•\tEnsures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.•\tReports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas. Risk and opportunity management•\tSupports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for their projects. Contract management•\tEnsures that Bill of Materials (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements, by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM).•\tIdentifies and implements variation requests to support contract claims based on the approval from project manager. Planning and control•\tFollows work plans and cost estimates provided by the project manager.•\tEnsures quality and timely implementation of projects within the targeted cost. Supply Chain management•\tCollaborates with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual obligations. Manufacturing and Testing•\tCoordinates with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested.•\tUpdates the engineering deliverables as-built. Commissioning and Service•\tCoordinates with commissioning / service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned and updates the engineering deliverables post installation and commissioning (if applicable as part of the contract). LICENSE TO OPERATE / CORE VALUES•\tReports any integrity, compliance, safety, cybersecurity, quality, contract, program, and cost issues to the management and/or project manager(s) for resolution.•\tEnsures that engineering activities and deliverables comply with safety and cybersecurity regulations and standards and contractual requirements.•\tEnsures that Bill of Materials (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations.•\tIdentifies and implements change / variation requests based on the approval from project manager.•\tEnsures the project meets the technical requirements of the contract and is technically completed as part of contract closure activities. COLLABORATION / LEADERSHIP•\tWorks closely with the project manager right from the receipt of contract / order till closure to meet the technical requirements of the contract.•\tCollaborates with the supply chain function and the project manager(s) to meet the contractual obligations.•\tCoordinates with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured / staged and tested.•\tCoordinates with commissioning / service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract).•\tProvides technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.•\tAssists in preparing proposal / presentation of engineering projects / programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.).
