Barry Callebaut is looking for a Project Engineer!

Our entity located in Gurb (Osona) is looking for a Project Engineer. The PE manages all aspects of a significant engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget, under the guidance of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager

 

Main tasks:

- Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing the project; monitor progress and
 performance against the project plan

- Provides coordination and management for supporting process and packaging engineering design, installation / implementation / commissioning services and maintenance support of manufacturing processes and equipment

- Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays

- Identify, develop, and gather the resources necessary to complete the project

- Select, and manage the activities of, outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service

- Engineering services may include equipment specification, process design, and process development / improvement. 

- Analyzes process requirements and evaluates equipment and systems to ensure deliverables meet or exceed process and packaging specifications and manufacturing requirements.

- Expected to successfully execute projects or areas of larger programs. 

- Provides significant contributions on project teams, leads multi-functional teams of internal employees, directs and manages contractors and other outside engineering and 3rd party service providers.

 -Develop equipment and service specifications, generate Requests for Proposal, evaluate and select both equipment and service vendors.

 

Job Requirements:

●  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial...) with 4-6 years relevant design and industrial project management experience.

●  Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office and Project software and Windows Operating System, AutoCAD and similar design software.

●  Ability to work with minimal supervision, and oversee the work of contractors and 3rd party engineering providers.

●  Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

●  Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

●  Attention to detail.

●  Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
