Project Engineer

The Role

Due to recently awarded contracts with some of Australia’s biggest Telecommunications carriers we have a new position for an experienced Project Engineer to manage and oversee the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of fixed network projects.

This role can be based any of the Eastern states and will report to the Operations Manager who is in Brisbane. Responsibilities will include;

Planning, Scheduling, Delivering and Monitoring project according to contractual scope and project budget.Define scope of project, identify requirements, apply risk management processes, develop and implement contingency plan wherever needed. Management of project delivery team for deployment of Fiber Transmission, fault rectification and civil works.Build and manage an effective team of Project Supervisor, 3rd party vendors, sub-contractors and develop strong customer relationships.Management of reporting on milestone progress for the forecast vs. actual delivery, financial responsibility for PL, Revenue recognition and variations.

About You

In addition to continuously looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes, the following qualifications, education and personal traits will be highly regarded:

Experience in planning, scheduling, delivering and monitoring of projects.Experience in a similar role within Telecommunications or Civil construction projects.Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Telecommunication related field.Demonstrated ability to create and maintain internal and external relationships.Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
