Volt is hiring a Project Engineer to work onsite in Erie, PA in a Direct Hire opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

The Project Engineer will direct and coordinate activities of a cross-functional team for the quotation, design, development, and launch of Product Life-Cyle Changes, New product development and launches (NPI), and other special projects.

\r\n\r\n

Additionally, as a Project Engineer you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAssure that projects are completed on time, to budget, and meet customer expectations.\r\n\tSupport life cycle management (LCM) review initiatives on all products.\r\n\tLead efforts to resolve all technical issues related to design, performance, compliance, manufacturability, and/or quality.\r\n\tAnalyze and provide technical input to product designs, manufacturing methods, validation plans, and component designs. Components typically include injection molded plastic parts, die cast parts, stampings, and machined parts.\r\n\tServe as the primary technical interface for customers as well as internal Sales & Marketing personnel.\r\n\tAnalyze technology trends and integrate latest technology into client products in conjunction with the Design group to ensure that client maintains its competitive advantage and status as the preferred supplier of lighting and visibility products.\r\n\tEvaluate and resolve manufacturing and performance issues with Manufacturing and Quality Departments to reduce potential NCR’s and field issues, and to avoid customer dissatisfaction.\r\n\tAssure that new products are developed and documented in accordance with internal NPI (New Product Introduction) procedures as well as TS16949 requirements.\r\n\tLead efforts to develop product specifications / definitions in conjunction with customers and sales personnel.\r\n\tDirect and coordinate activities of a cross-functional engineering team to complete new product quotations and develop capital budgets.\r\n\tAssist with Corporate productivity improvement projects and the timely achievement of engineering productivity goals.\r\n\tPosition requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

Qualification/Requirements:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBS degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Plastics Engineering highly preferred. Other technical degrees will be considered based on relevant work experience.\r\n\tLooking for candidates to have 5 to 10 years of project engineering/program management experience.\r\n\tMust have exterior lighting experience.\r\n\tMust have prior experience with plastic molding, coatings (metallization, painting).\r\n\tPlastic tooling experience.\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Salary: $80-110K annually *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
