Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description

The Project Engineer will be a key member of the capital engineering team, responsible for overseeing multiple facility upgrade and equipment installation projects. This position involves managing projects from design through installation within a plant environment, ensuring all activities comply with project specifications and customer requirements.

ResponsibilitiesLead capital projects with diverse design requirements including Civil engineering, Structural engineering, Process Piping, Power Distribution, Automation Controls, Process Clean Rooms, Facility Utility Packages, HVAC, Chiller Systems, and Customer Equipment Installations.Direct projects and project teams, ensuring that all necessary activities occur as planned or are negotiated and agreed to by the customer.Develop and maintain a master project schedule covering from the Basis Of Design (BOD) through validation and handover.Drive the BOD development for facility utility packages, customer equipment installations, and plant upgrades, while supporting the estimating process.Manage the design and development of drawings and construction packages for facility builds.Ensure accountability and management of engineering firms and construction contractors.Prepare and present project updates to executive levels and steering committees.Write site change requests and support User Requirements Specification (URS) development.Essential SkillsProject engineering experience.GMP expertise in pharmaceutical, food & beverage, biotech, or cosmetics industries.Experience with capital expansion projects (CAPEX) within a pharmaceutical company.Facilities maintenance and utilities maintenance knowledge, including HVAC systems.Proficiency in equipment qualification and commissioning processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager in facility upgrades and building maintenance projects.Experience with building maintenance/utility projects in a manufacturing processing plant.Ability to write site change requests and support URS development.Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and includes spending 50% of the time in an office setting and the other 50% on a clean production floor. The environment requires adaptability and focus amidst a bustling setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
