In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:

The Avionics Program Management team is looking for a project engineer to manage the scope of LM internal hardware production projects. Candidate will be responsible for the planning, organizing, control, integration and execution of Avionics TMK production and engineering projects. This position will require regular interaction with hardware and test engineers and production managers to understand and drive resolution of programmatic impacts from test failures, material delays and fallout and resource constraints. Some of this production is in a re-start phase which will require the candidate to coordinate with engineering and work centers on documentation updates, tracking process/material qualifications and coordinating with production managers and planners to build and execute a schedule.

Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either Denver, CO , or Titusville, FL.(Space City, USA). , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience/combined education,
• 3+ years of professional experience,
• Experience in Project Management principles (Cost/Schedule/Technical),
• Experience managing risks and opportunities through a project lifecycle,
• Experience leading strategic, cross-functional projects with program level exposure and impact,
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Bachelors degree – business management, engineering, project management, STEM or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience or knowledge in Earned Value Management (EVM) such as prior CAM experience
• PMP Certification
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule and technical scope
• Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of clear communication through multiple levels of senior and executive leadership

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
