General Description:
As part of a team, the ideal candidate will provide regional-level support to help ensure the successful and timely completion of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related environmental projects. While this is a non-technical role, the candidate will participate in data collection, entry, and conveyance of technical information with support from the technical teams. The candidate must be highly organized and fluent in most Microsoft Office software programs (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, and Office 365). Daily assignments will include data collection and entry, document control, uploading/downloading and delivery of pertinent project information, tracking project and report progress, and other general administrative project and office support as needed. The successful candidate is one who is responsive, organized, communicates well, and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks. This is a fast-paced and exciting role which requires frequent communication with the technical teams. The candidate may also act as a liaison between Terracon offices, clients, and corporate entities to facilitate the flow of project information. This position is a unique opportunity to become a key team member of a well-established national program with a history of success.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Document ControlFollowing an established system, the candidate will assist with ensuring project and document adherence to quality standards and timely project completion.In collaboration with a team, collect, receive, and enter data into various software systems or spreadsheets using pre-established procedures.Organize data for various project documents to ensure completion and availability of project information to technical personnel and clients.
NEPA Program SupportAs a team member, provide project support for multiple offices in a region.Review, understand, and apply applicable NEPA regulations with support from a team.Preparation of NEPA and associated regulatory compliance documents.Compose and proofread e-mails, letters, and other office, project, and client correspondence.Assists with project data collection, entry, and the coordination of overall project completion.Maintain existing tracking spreadsheets with updates for ongoing tasks and overall projects status.May act as liaison between clients and various offices within a region to communicate project information and deliverable status.Work with individual project managers to complete assigned project tasks.Utilize web-based systems and programs for project delivery and support.Inform project team members and clients about project schedule, status, and deliverable updates.Follow safety rules, practices, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning as needed and report any safety issues or concerns to management. Assist the team with administrative functions such as printing, mailing, and other support. Requirements:
This is not a remote position. The candidate will work full-time in an office setting with a team.High school diploma or equivalent.Must be highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment.Fluent in Microsoft Outlook (email management), Excel, Teams, and Word.Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant office experience.Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.Familiarity with applicable environmental regulations and materials that support regulatory National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance documents is a plus.
