Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Translational and Transformative Research Core Director and Deputy Director the Translational and Transformative Research (T2) Core Project Coordinator facilitates planning development coordination and implementation of all educational dissemination and research support initiatives for the T2 Core and supports the Admin Core in communication activities for the COBRE on Opioids and Overdose. This person will serve as the Core�s manager.
The COBRE on Opioids and Overdose at Rhode Island Hospital is the first center of its kind aimed to collaboratively address the opioid epidemic. This COBRE is a vibrant interdisciplinary center that supports research essential to understanding the mechanisms underlying opioid use disorder and developing innovative solutions. A main objective of the NIH-Funded COBRE initiative is to support the development of junior investigators into independently funded investigators and to develop a critical mass of investigators competitive for peer-reviewed external research funding. The Translational and Transformative Research (T2) Core provides technical assistance in the execution of translation and implementation of science research and supports the dissemination of innovative findings to transform care for opioid addiction and overdose.
Responsibilities:
The T2 Coordinator will have the following key responsibilities:
Conduct project administration activities including tracking deadlines sending reminders preparing reports assisting with contracts and ensuring that the project activities and tasks are done in a timely manner. Schedule meetings take notes and conduct follow-up as appropriate. Support the management of social media and website needs of the COBRE including video editing and drafting content. Prepare or assist with presentations for conferences and meetings; prepare or assist with preparation of consent forms manuscripts and other project materials. May support basic quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Conduct surveys and interviews: Engage with participants develop a professional relationship explain study and conduct informed consent process administer surveys and semi-structure interviews take notes write up notes and/or prepare for transcription of interviews. Create data management tools (e.g. Excel database Qualtrics surveys) enter data into and manage databases. Coordinate events (e.g. webinars lectures workshops) for the T2 and other COBRE Cores for faculty and community members affiliated with the COBRE

Requirements:
Bachelor� degree in health administration communications public health or related discipline
1+ years of research or project management experience
Highly organized self-motivated outstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong leadership organizational and time management skills
Collaborative driven adaptive flexible and creative
Excellent verbal communication and written communication related to engaging with key stakeholders and community partners
Excellent computer skills (e.g. Microsoft suite) and willing to learn new software (e.g. qualitative data software). Ability to work with video editing software and social media programs a must.
Must be able to travel locally.
Preferences:
Prior experience in behavioral health public health or harm reduction
Prior experience in stakeholder engagement community engaged research or event planning
Prior supervisory experience
