In this role you will be a part of Atlanta’s transformational SR 400 Express Lanes Project’s team where EXP is serving as Independent Quality Firm. This position can be located in Atlanta, GA or the Miami, FL office.
We are an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary firm of approximately 4,400 professionals across North America with a history of successfully delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects across North America.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Developing and implementing the overall contracts and procurement strategy for the project. Monitor performance of the project’s contracts. Provide ongoing guidance in the various aspects of procurement and contract management to the Project Manager and key members of the project team ensuring sound formation and administration principles are applied. Participate in project related meetings and work closely with other functions such as Quality, Engineering, construction, project controls, finance, etc. Provide support and guidance to the project manager in management of the prime contract. Preparation of progress reports on performance of the contracts team and procurement team. Provide advice to senior project management on a wide variety of project issues. Provide guidance on negotiation strategies and resolution of commercial issues. Representing contracts and procurement function at package and project reviews. Overseeing development of the contracts and procurement procedures, forms and templates. Developing, monitoring and maintaining project master contracts forms. Implementing changes to the terms and conditions, procedures templates and forms to improve efficiency, accuracy, quality of contracts and procurement function. Performance management of contracts and procurement function. Provides oversight for the management of prime contract, implementation of the prime contract management program and contracts administration procedures, training and supervision of contracts personnel. Provides functional guidance to the project contracts and procurement personnel in the performance of their respective roles. Support with Monitoring financial performance. Identify and communicate to project manager, senior management and corporate services situations that have the potential to materially affect overall Project’s financial performance. Support the Change Management program and help the project team quantifying impact to schedule and cost. Provide and contribute to accurate internal weekly and monthly project reports and interface and present to management. Support with Preparing client monthly invoice. Participate in project review audits and workshops. Evaluate project contracts and commercial terms to ensure that the project controls processes are aligned to address any specific project needs. Ensure the project is contract and corporate compliant. Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and company standards. Develop, report and monitor Project Risk Registers and analysis for both schedule and cost using Monte Carlo, Interactive Planning Sessions and other available tools. Identify and mitigate risks related to potential impacts to scope, cost and schedule. Additional tasks as required.
What your experience looks like
Degree in Engineering, Business, Law, Construction Management, or equivalent. 15 years experience in project procurement and contract management. Preferred experience in management and implementation of similar IQF projects and in a similar position. Preferred experience in management and implementation of DOT Transportation projects. Preferred experience in Audit and Federal requirements of DOT Transportation projects. Demonstrated experience in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning and scheduling Thorough knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost control, and quality control functions. Specialized training courses in business law, finance and accounting, and related business subjects. Experience in working with the other functional service organizations, i.e., purchasing, expediting, supplier quality, traffic and logistics, and field procurement operations. Experience in managing workload distribution and execution of the work and well as being skilled in managing personnel including interviewing, hiring, training, development, performance evaluation, career counselling, salary administration, and knowledge of personnel.
