Job Description
We are seeking Senior Project Architects with 8+ years of experience working in an architectural firm. This role will involve overseeing the technical aspects of projects, including construction documentation and administration. Experience in project types such as public safety, public works, justice, and military architecture is preferred. The ideal candidate should display excellent interpersonal skills, be open to learning opportunities, and possess a strong knowledge of Revit, building codes, documentation, and constructability for various construction types. A Professional Architecture degree (Bachelor or Master of Architecture) and licensure are required.
ResponsibilitiesAssess project requirements and work with a Principal Architect to determine the scope of work, budget, and staffing.Develop and review proposals, coordinate all aspects of project document completion, and guide the design team through the construction documentation process.Check for code compliance and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and owners.Work with the Project Manager to coordinate internal project staffing needs, track and report internal project budgets, project schedules, and project progress.Serve as the primary point of accountability for the progress of specific projects as assigned.Lead the architectural team for assigned projects and manage client expectations.Ensure projects meet schedules and budgets.Mentor junior architects and project coordinators.Network and consult with various industry professionals.Participate in business development and marketing of the firm's services by engaging with prospective clients.Essential Skills8+ years of experience within the field of architecture.Expertise in construction documentation and administration.Proficiency in Revit for design, presentation, and construction documentation.Strong knowledge of building codes and constructability for multiple construction types.Professional Architecture degree (Bachelor or Master of Architecture).Licensed Architect.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in project types such as public safety, public works, justice, and military architecture.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relay important information.Openness to criticism and learning opportunities.Work Environment
This is a mid-size firm of around 40 people, offering a professional work environment based in an office setting. The dress code is business casual, which may vary based on the level of client interaction. The company culture is professional and team-oriented, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork. The company retains staff long-term, with a high average job tenure, and offers a great benefits package. This is a full-time, W2 position with full benefits. This is not a short term contract.
