Project Architect
Job Title: ArchitectJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architect to provide design and technical development, project coordination, and quality control for all aspects of our projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with and coordinate work from consultants to ensure integrated project documents that support project design. You will provide leadership to the team and clients on multiple active projects and contribute to the preparation of quality design documents including detailed construction documents that result in complete submissions for all phases of a project. These documents must be compliant with design intent, project scope, schedule, and cost requirements. You will manage all phases of the project from concept design through construction, including project setup, and actively manage project scheduling, work plans, financial performance, and staffing. Maintaining contact with clients, consultants, and contractors during all project phases and participating in marketing, client, and owner presentations as required is also a key part of this role. Additionally, you will perform business development functions, including marketing and networking to create personal connections and involvement in professional organizations. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Revit. + Experience in architecture project management. + Healthcare design expertise. + Strong architectural design skills. + Construction administration knowledge. + Experience with AutoCAD. + Adobe Creative Suite proficiency preferred. + 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in higher education and government projects can be interchangeable. + Hospitality and retail experience does not transfer over. + Ability to perform business development functions, including marketing and networking. Work Environment This role can be based in Lexington, KY or Louisville, KY, with openings in both offices. The work environment includes newly renovated onsite facilities that promote full-time collaboration. There is travel and site visits involved, with projects located across the country and many local projects. Travel is typically about once a month. The firm consists of over 80 professionals, including 26 registered architects and 8 certified interior designers. We offer great benefits, including 100% single-person coverage, 401k with a 3% safe harbor contribution, 3-4 weeks of PTO based on tenure, and relocation support. We also offer support for H1B, E3 visa, or sponsorship, and compensate time for taking the exam for licensure. Additionally, we provide straight overtime pay for hours worked.
