We are the Translational Immunology team, and we are looking for a hardworking associate with experience in clinical trials and sample management to join our team. Our mission is to identify molecule- and mechanism-relevant biomarkers for assets in Lilly’s immunology pipeline and develop drug tailoring hypotheses in various autoimmune diseases. The selection of appropriate clinical trial samples and verification of patient informed consent will facilitate our utilization of samples for biomarker research. The position offers an outstanding opportunity to impact precision medicine approaches in Lilly’s autoimmune therapies to the most suitable patients based on novel biomarkers. Responsibilities
Facilitate the implementation of exploratory biomarkers by collaborating across various Lilly disciplines, including Biology, Medical, Statistics, Bioinformatics, and Clinical Trial Operations.Responsible for oversight of outsourced biomarker research to Clinical Research Organization (CRO’s), ensuring on time, and on budget data delivery. Maintain and organize the translational immunology collaboration spaces, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.Develop and maintain up-to-date exploratory biomarker projects, timelines, and expenditures, including external academic collaborations, fully outsourced projects to CROs, and in-house testing at Lilly.Coordination of various aspects of research collaborations within Lilly as well as with external partners.Manage the inventory of Lilly’s clinical trial exploratory human biological samples across Lilly’s preferred storage vendors.Identify exploratory biomarker samples based on criteria provided by Lilly scientists from both Lilly clinical trials as well as CROs.Collaborate with clinical teams to locate, translate, and review country-level informed consent forms (ICF) to ensure exploratory biomarker samples are used as defined by the protocol and ICF.Develop comprehensive research proposals for the utilization of exploratory biomarker samples, detailing the testing procedures and responsible personnel. Additionally, coordinate the acquisition of the necessary Lilly signatures to ensure proper authorization.Oversee the inventory and ordering of healthy control (HC) samples.Accountable for oversight of Lilly developed clinical and research sample management system including training, quality control, and partnering with IT for system updates.Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of applicable experience in supporting clinical research or closely related area.At least one year of experience with a sample management system.Expertise in the implementation and integration of clinical project management processes and tools.Proficient in various programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPointAdditional Skills/Preferences
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage across geographies and cultures.Demonstrated skill and experience in handling alliances with outside partners (for example CROs).Excellent relational skills and team spirit.High proficiency in written and spoken English communication skills.Additional Information

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,000 - $140,800Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
