Description
Charlie Gilmur with Robert Half is looking to add a Project Accountant to our team based in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing project financials, managing vendor compliance, and ensuring accurate project statuses.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and reconcile project costs against the project budget
• Handle project accounts payable and subcontract payable processing
• Manage vendor compliance, including insurance, lien waivers, retention, and W-9s
• Compile, prepare, and analyze monthly project billings as per contract stipulations
• Generate and analyze job cost tracking reports to assess job performance and profitability
• Maintain accurate project statuses and budget information
• Identify and promptly resolve both basic and complex project-related accounting issues
• Assist in the preparation of status reports

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and resolving them promptly.
• Experience in managing accounts payable (AP), ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable (AR), with a focus on tracking payments and reducing the amount of outstanding receivables.
• Expertise in the billing process, including preparing, sending, and tracking invoices.
• Strong data entry skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven experience in invoice processing, with the ability to manage a high volume of invoices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced features.
• Experience with Oracle, specifically in relation to financial management systems.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for accounting tasks, including payroll, sales, and inventory.
• Experience with SAP, particularly in regard to its financial accounting and controlling (FICO) module.
