Engineer - Site Programs (Plant Farley)
Job Summary
Program Engineers direct implementation of assigned programs and work processes. Major programs include: Steam Generator Reliability, License Renewal, Heat Exchangers, Containment Integrity, Underground Pipe and Tanks, In-Service Inspections, Flow Accelerated Corrosion, and Fatigue Management. Program Engineers will be responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, ensuring regulatory compliance, knowledge and application of industry best practices, budgets, and for the performance or oversight of inspections of plant equipment. Also, Program Engineers typically take key refueling outage assignments. Engineering assignments typically include on-call duty engineer and emergency plan response requirements. .
Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or PE License required Mechanical or Civil Engineering discipline preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
A background in engineering with working knowledge of applicable discipline codes and standards. An ability to solve problems and make sound engineering decisions based on experience and appropriate industry practices. Previous experience in systems engineering, programs engineering, or component engineering preferred. Experience and working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section XI is a plus. Working knowledge in Nuclear Plant Systems, structures and components preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven organizational skills with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously. Capable of working efficiently and effectively across organizations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products, specifically WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT.Behavioral Attributes
