Programmer Writer, Lambda, Serverless Compute
The best docs happen when technical writers “write what you know.” If you know—or are eager to learn about—serverless software development and if you’ve been a technical writer or worked in another role with a heavy written communication focus, we would love to have you apply to join us as a Programmer Writer for the AWS Lambda docs team.

This is a mid-level technical writing role, requiring both the ability to deliver independently and to collaborate effectively with the other Lambda writers. Ideally, you have both a technical background that enables easy interaction with technical experts on partner teams and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation.

To thrive in this role, you need to love jumping into new technology, experimenting, and learning new ways to build applications. And you should understand the value of serverless cloud architecture (https://aws.amazon.com/serverless/). You’ll be working with writing peers, product managers, solutions architects, and internal developers. Being comfortable asking questions and learning quickly is essential to move at an Amazonian pace.

This heart of this role involves acting as the technical interface between the customer and the work of our talented developer teams. The AWS Serverless Compute group is constantly delivering new features and experiences. Both existing and potential customers must fully understand these developments to use and love them. Though the role is demanding, you’ll have the full support of experienced peers and of a product team that understands and appreciates the value of well-developed technical documentation.

So: If you can code, love to learn, and have a strong background in writing for a technical audience, please apply!
