Programmer Analyst 4-IT

As a member of SaaS Uptake team, you will be responsible for ensuring staging and delivery of high quality Fusion Applications artifacts to Oracle SaaS customer pods (both SaaS@customer and SaaS fleet) with an overall aim to consistently improve customer experience and quality of our deliverables.  Activities would include installation, maintenance and upgrade of Oracle Fusion Applications from one release to another, performance monitoring/tuning. You will gain Application DBA knowledge to manage Fusion application and and solve complex database/middle-tier issues with the development and release of Applications products. You will get exposure to the latest Fusion applications technology like Weblogic, IDM, Observability tech-stacks like EM, APM to name a few.

We are looking for experienced engineers to join our SaaS Uptake team  which is part of Fusion Site Reliability Engineering  team. Candidate must have Oracle Database Administration experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or DBA or Performance DBA on large production environment and preferably experience on Fusion Apps or any other Enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and maintain multiple Oracle databases.

- Install, configure and troubleshoot all components of Oracle Applications techstack.

- Perform day-to-day database administration and ensure integrity, security and availability of applications environments.

- Patch and Upgrade Applications environments.

- Promoting Patching and Update artifacts to different Cloud Regions.

- FAaaS (Fusion Applications as a Service) based feature validations.

- Application / Database fixes through Job Control workflows

- Autonomous Database Migration and support (Required training will be provided)

- Develop scripts to automate functions, processes and monitor database performance.

- Work with other team members to ensure quick resolution of customer problems.

 Job Requirements are the following:

- BE / MCA any technical major.

- Hands-on exposure as Oracle DBA

- Experience of performing database management including: monitoring, backup, data recovery, performance tuning, maintenance, etc.

- Good understanding of Unix and Linux.

- Hands-on Development experience (Shell, Perl, Python, ApEX, Jenkins, sql/pl-sql)

- Good knowledge of Java

- Ability to work well under pressure on multiple projects.

- Ability to work independently, yet knowing when to seek help.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Good vision to identify issues proactively.

- Willingness to learn new technologies 

- Experience with Oracle tools ( Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer, etc )
