This role is responsible for overseeing a team of planners while also managing the planning of a Free-To-Air channel. As the figurehead and main point of contact for the team, you’ll play a key role in guiding day-to-day operations. The planning team is a vital part of the business’s TX operational function and works closely with the Channel heads to ensure alignment and accurate output.
What will you be doing?
Oversee the management of the Paramount Free-To-Air and Pay channel Programme Planning team Conduct regular 1-1s to ensure that the team are working effectively Conduct annual performance reviews and check-ins to ensure team is being kept engaged and motivated to achieve their goals To be the most senior point of contact for any Ofcom duties & any Ofcom related enquiries, ensuring that the planning department returns all Ofcom data for the Paramount portfolio To represent the planning team at company meetings and project work Acting as central point of contact for planning related queries Assisting the returning of Ofcom data for the Paramount portfolio Creating Standby lists and co-ordinating the maintenance of standby lists across the portfolio of channels Overseeing and Co-ordinating the testing, development and improvement of systems for programme planning Overseeing the AD and Subtitling across the portfolio ensuring we reach our Ofcom quotas Providing and issuing support to the Channel directors and Channel Management team Maintain Out of Hours contact duties Help to create the best possible workplace experience for the team with Paramount’s key values in mind Manage the team’s annual leave and the distribution of channels amongst the team Managing the planning schedule for nominated Paramount channel, ensuring that all aspects of the schedule are accurate and accounted for Inputting forward planning schedule into What’s On Informing relevant internal personnel & listings of all schedule changes made within issued weeks Maintaining a strong knowledge of the Paramount portfolio of schedules Overseeing all press day responsibilities Actioning Billings & Pre-Press emails Ensuring month-end data is up to date for Finance Ensuring all programme rights are accurately adhered to Coordinating between Programming, Sales & Presentation regarding schedule related matters Ensuring schedules are ready to send to Sales on a monthly basis Be an ambassador for all Paramount channels, internally and externally Help to embed the Paramount values and foster a culture of inclusion
What are we looking for? Substantial experience of programme planning at a broadcaster is essential and knowledge of Ofcom quotas Experience of managing a team A genuine interest and passion for TV Must be strong communicator and be confident working with other departments Be able to demonstrate a general understanding of TV schedules Strong I.T Skills including Excel and the ability to quickly pick up new systems Must demonstrate ability in numeracy Capacity for creative problem solving #li-mt1
