Role purpose:

 

To provide comprehensive support to the Regional Operations Executive by tracking and managing all regional programmes and projects across the Consumer, Vodacom Business, and Technology business areas. The Programme Manager will ensure alignment with strategic goals, facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, and drive the successful execution of initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

1. Programme Management:

Oversee and coordinate all regional programmes and projects.Ensure that projects align with the company’s strategic objectives.Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and budget.Monitor progress and performance of projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.Manage risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.


2. Stakeholder Engagement:

Serve as the primary point of contact for all programme-related matters.Facilitate communication and collaboration among consumer, business, and technology teams.Regularly update the Regional Operations Executive and other senior leaders on programme status, key metrics, and potential challenges.Organise and lead regular stakeholder meetings and workshops.


3. Strategic Planning and Execution:

Translate strategic goals into actionable programmes and projects.Ensure the alignment of projects with the broader business strategy.Track and report on the progress of strategic initiatives.

4. Resource Management:

Allocate resources efficiently across projects to maximise productivity and outcomes.Manage the programme budget, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial control when necessary


5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Work closely with the Regional Commercial Team to develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track project and programme performance.Provide regular status updates and comprehensive reports to the Regional Operations Executive.Together with the Regional Commercial Management team, analyse project data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.Ensure transparency and accountability in programme delivery.


6. Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the programme management framework.Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Foster a culture of continuous learning and development among project teams.The ideal candidate for this role will have:

 

Must have technical/professional qualifications: 

Matric/grade 12Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in programme or project managementProven track record of successfully managing large, complex projects.Experience in a regional or multi-location setting is highly desirable.
