The position
As a Programme Director, your main responsibilities will be to drive the Devices & Delivery solutions programme end to end both tactically and strategically. This entails that you engage with key stakeholders across the value chain of Novo Nordisk within CMC Development, Clinical Development, Global Research Technologies, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Commercial & Marketing and Digital Health as well as external suppliers and partners.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Ensure goals are achieved within set milestones to be reported to relevant senior governance boards Manage Programme budgets and costs Secure patent strategies, Freedom-of-Operation and Intellectual Property Rights are in place for the development Programmes Interact and obtain approval by the appropriate governance body & ensure execution of the approved strategy by translating it into individual Programme goals Prepare and execute the Programme portfolio strategies and plans including communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders Be responsible for Programme scenario planning and recommendations regarding strategic development options relevant to boards and committees for decision
You are expected to create synergy and knowledge sharing across the portfolio of Programmes and contribute to optimal strategic portfolio management in collaboration with your colleagues and manager. Participate in Joint Steering Committees on relevant Programmes with external, international partners for the efficient decision-making and steering of overall Programme activities. Be a member of Global Product Team (GPT) in the assigned therapeutic area representing DDS.

Qualifications
To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
Master's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, life sciences, or similar, preferably combined with a master's degree in business administration, or similar Extensive experience in successful Project/Programme management in a global development context preferably from pharma or MedTech Leadership capabilities and proven track record setting direction and driving stakeholder interactions to prepare and execute programmes within the Development value chain Knowledge of quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry, and regulatory requirements worldwide as well as understanding various disciplines of device development is a great advantage Excellent communication skills, proficient in written and oral English
As a person, you are analytical, structured, demonstrate attention to detail, and have a flair for planning and coordinating, capable of handling complexity in processes and having many various activities going on in parallel.
You are a strong team player recognised for your interpersonal skills and as a person you thrive in a busy environment, proactive, take ownership of your assignments, and feel comfortable working independently.
You bring a "can do" spirit, a healthy common sense, and a good sense of humor to your work - even when the pressure is on. Furthermore, you are able to implement sustainable product development foundations and to constantly make them evolve to become better every day.
About the department
The Portfolio & Programme Management department consist of three teams and together we are 25 talented and diverse members managing the portfolio of device and delivery solution projects for all Novo Nordisk therapeutic areas. You will join one of the Programme Management teams that is responsible for leading the device & delivery solutions programmes for new drug assets within Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes management. As Programme Director you will be part of an organisation of highly skilled people - many of the best in the medical device industry. They will embrace you with a constructive and collaborative mindset challenging your ideas and providing highly competent sparring.
DDS is an area with approximately +500 employees within Novo Nordisk's global R&D organisation. We develop medical devices for self-treatment, supporting all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. The office is located in Hillerød in the greater Copenhagen area with state-of-the-art R&D facilities and has a long and outstanding track record of developing the best, most innovative, and widely used devices in the world.
