A consistent shift schedule of 10am - 6pm Sunday-Thursday.A rate of $22.50-$25.65 (dependent upon experience)Excellent Benefits (learn more at benefits.devereux.org)Paid Training and Professional DevelopmentASCEND- Career Accelerator ProgramBENEFIT ELIGIBILITY AFTER 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT (1st day of the 1st pay period after 30 daysThe Behavioral Health Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program (PRTF) provides 24-hour, out-of-home services for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges who need intensive services. The program serves children and adolescents, inclusive of biological male youth who are 7 to 17 years old at the time of admission, and biological female youth who are 12 to 17 years old at the time of admission. The program is inclusive for all youth with respect to sexual orientation and gender identity. Trauma-informed care is the guiding treatment philosophy throughout the Brandywine program. Thus, it is a recovery-focused program based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which underscores most of the interventions utilized at Brandywine. CBT emphasizes the use of more adaptive behaviors to improve resilience and strengthen relationships. Additionally, the program includes a comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy model, ongoing assessment of needs and risks, and high levels of family engagement opportunities to support successful outcomes.
Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling; and a minimum of two years direct care experience; OR 60 college credits from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (as described above), and three years direct care experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
