Responsibilities Supervise Treatment Advocates for specific shiftAssists in supervision of client activities and be aware of client safety and whereabouts at all times, including breaks and internal activitiesAttend all mandatory trainings and in-house conferences/seminars as directed by supervisorEngages clients in therapeutic activities as appropriateProvides a brief overview of the housing program in regard to program rules, procedures, and services; with each new clientMaintains order and ensures compliance with rules and regulations; ensures that clients conduct themselves in an orderly mannerMonitors and document’s clients for signs of medical distress and/or behavioral concerns on an ongoing basis and through routine bed checks.Provides appropriate support and structure for clients in dealing with their recovery; interacts continually with clientsEnsures client wake-up and bedtime, escorts residents on shopping trips, recreation, meetings, medical appointments, etcEnforces program rules at all timesDistributes daily mail to clients and observes confidentiality standardsRecords accurate and up-to-date reports on every client and continually updates the bed list(s) to ensure that all admissions and discharges are recorded in a timely fashionReports to the Director any discrepancies in client's whereaboutsResponds appropriately to all medical and other emergenciesProvides oversight to company vehicles that Treatment Advocates might have accessConducts search of all client bags when being admitted to the facility. Confiscates and secures any contraband found, and notifies the appropriate manager/ supervisorRandomly inspects all rooms, common areas, hallways and bathrooms every thirty minutes and performs a thorough search for contraband, no less than weeklyFacilitates group psycho-education classes as directed by supervisorConducts search of client bags when being admitted to the facilityEnsure shift reports are thorough and completed timely for shift(s) workedEnsure proper timekeeping of staffResponsible and accountable for managing direct reportsPreparation and presentation of performance evaluationsProvides objective feedback to employeesMakes appropriate compensation recommendations, if applicableProvides appropriate training for department and hold staff accountable for attending required trainingParticipates interviews for vacant positions and makes appropriately selects candidates to fill open positionsResponsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns Monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures and practicesCreates and supports a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment free work environment by understanding and complying with the company’s policies Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferredThree (3)years’ experience in dealing with substance abuse clientsAge 25, required by insurance carrier (if driving clients)Must have an acceptable MVR and be willing to gain a Class B license (if driving clients)Customer service driven with a genuine interest in the well-being of those we serveAbility to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.
