Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Program Specialist (Project Manager) to join our team who will have the opportunity to champion Applications Development and Support Team -CAT IT Division
The incumbent would be responsible for managing and delivering software development projects using Agile methodologies. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, facilitating agile ceremonies, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. The Agile Project Manager will act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore, Whitefield office.
What you will do:
Summary: Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering software development projects using Agile methodologies. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, facilitating agile ceremonies, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. The Agile Project Manager will act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and oversee Agile projects from inception to completion.Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.Collaborate with product owners to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, adjusting plans as necessary to meet project objectives.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting best practices in Agile methodologies.Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices.Track and report on key metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and burn-up charts.Ensure quality standards are met through effective collaboration with QA and development teams.What you will have:
Professional & Technical Skills:
Good to have: High level knowledge on Java and .NET technologies.Familiarity with vulnerability managementStrong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Project).Experience with Agile planning and estimation techniques.Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Preferred Skills:
Experience in coaching teams in Agile best practices.Familiarity with change management principles.Knowledge of software engineering and development practices.Additional Information:
10+ relevant Project Management experienceBachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or related field.Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certifications preferred.Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing Agile projects.Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Shift Timing-01:00PM-10:00PM IST (EMEA Shift)Skills Desired:
