Program Quality Manager

BAE Systems, Combat Mission Systems, is seeking a Program Quality Assurance Manager for the Louisville, Kentucky site. In this role as the Program Quality Assurance (PQA) Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Quality Program Engineers (QPEs) to ensure the implementation of standardized quality methods across all phases of the program lifecycle. Your focus will be on aligning quality practices to support program success through consistent planning, risk management, and structured problem-solving. You'll be charged to drive quality strategies that enhance program execution, customer satisfaction, and overall performance. As the PQA Manager, you'll oversee the establishment of a standardized battle rhythm, ensuring consistent quality reporting and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders. By leveraging the expertise of the QPE's and implementing best practices, you'll foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across multiple programs. Key Responsibilities: + Lead team of 5-6 Quality Program Engineers (QPEs) to effectively support program objectives. + Mentor and guide the development of the QPEs ensuring robust quality plans, adherence to standards, and timely resolution of issues, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance. + Develop and maintain a structured cadence for consistent quality reporting across programs, ensuring alignment across program lifecycle phases. + Oversee planning efforts for future work through the bases of estimate (BOE)/proposal process, ensuring accurate and thorough quality inputs. + Implement strategies to identify and address risks across programs, fostering proactive risk management strategies. + Enable QPEs to provide effective guidance on structured problem-solving methods to Program Managers when challenges arise. + Facilitate communication and manage expectations with internal and external customers, promoting a collaborative and customer-focused approach. + Collaborate with peers to ensure optimal resource allocation across programs. + Act as the voice of Quality at leadership meetings and customer briefings, prompting action by highlighting risks, addressing issues, and showcasing program achievements. + Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement through regular training, best practices, and team collaboration. Note about Schedule: Position is Hybrid-friendly on the "3-2-1" schedule. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Typically requires a Bachelor s degree plus eight (8) years related experience, or the overall equivalent; + Proven financial acumen including working experience with budgets, earned value management systems (EVMS), and basis of estimates (BOEs); + Quality, Program, or Control Account Management experience working within an EVMS environment; + Leadership experience in either a supervisory or management role; + Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; + Sound problem-solving and analytical skills; + Customer-focused, both internal and external; + Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and industry-specific software applications; + While this role is hybrid-friendly, must be based within a reasonable commute to the Louisville, KY site. Relocation assistance is available; + Ability to support travel of up to 25% for site and customer visits; + Able to support initial training and immersion based out of the York, Pennsylvania site for about one month. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + DoD contracting experience; + Experience with risk-based decision making (e.g. APQP or R&O manager); + Certifications: ASQ (e.g., CQE, CQM/OE), PMP, Lean Six Sigma. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
