Program Manager - Orientation Services Red Raider Camp
**38792BR** **Extended Job Title:** Program Manager - Orientation Services Red Raider Camp **Position Description:** Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics. **Requisition ID:** 38792BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + This position is expected to interact regularly with Texas Tech administrators, faculty, staff, students, and their guests during Red Raider Orientation and Red Raider Camp. + Primary responsibility will include the advisement of the Red Raider Camp staff, including officer and member development, advisor relations, risk management, and overall student group development. + Assist in planning and implementation of Red Raider Camp (students) session logistics on the Texas Tech Campus. + Assist in implementation of Red Raider Orientation (students and guests) on the Texas Tech campus. + Programming assistance for all Orientation Services, College Connect, and Enrollment Management events. + Recruit, select, and support graduate students and/or summer interns. **Grant Funded?:** No **Minimum Hire Rate:** 4,000.00 **Pay Basis:** Monthly **Schedule Details:** M-F/8-5 with peak seasons requiring overtime **Work Location:** Lubbock **Preferred Qualifications:** + Ability to handle administrative details independently. + Ability to effectively communicate with various groups, students, faculty, staff, and community members. + Skilled in personnel and financial management. + Demonstrated ability in planning, implementation, marketing, and evaluation of complex programs and projects + Proven problem-solving abilities + Demonstrated ability for working with a broad range of activities and development of programs and services + Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) + Demonstrated ability to prioritize and adapt to various University community needs. + Orientation knowledge, planning, and experience. + Master's degree in student personnel/student affairs or related fields. + Experience and active involvement with the Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education (NODA). + Ability to prioritize and coordinate complex projects. + Ability to think strategically, plan, set goals and objectives, and then organize and follow-through + Able to conceive and express concepts and higher-level abstract, logical reasoning + Must be comfortable with the new, complex subject matter. **Department:** Orientation Services **Required Attachments:** Cover Letter, Professional/Personal References, Resume / CV **Job Type:** Full Time **Job Group:** Business Professionals **Shift:** Day **Required Qualifications:** Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects.
