Program Manager-Last Mile, Strategy Planning
Description We are seeking a dynamic and data-driven Program Management Office (PMO) Specialist to join our Last Mile Strategy Planning team. This role will be instrumental in overseeing end-to-end PMO for New Launch and Retrofit projects, with a focus on leveraging data to identify risks and root cause issues. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in revamping our North America Controls plan, ensuring we have robust mechanisms and processes in place to introduce new projects into our portfolio, address lessons learned and mitigate future risks. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in project management, and a proven track record of using data to drive decision-making and process improvements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role. Key job responsibilities - Lead PMO efforts for Last Mile new launch and retrofit projects, utilizing data analytics to identify potential risks and root cause issues. - Spearhead the revamp of the NA Controls Plan, implementing improved processes and mechanisms based on lessons learned and to enhance future risk mitigation strategies. - Lead WBRs, QBRs, and spearhead cross-functional document writing. - Develop and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for metrics associated with customer success, ensuring that our delivered solutions meet or exceed customer expectations and industry benchmarks. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and propose data-driven solutions to optimize Last Mile Planning and Operations. - Create and present regular reports to senior management on project status, risk assessments, and performance metrics. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data insights and industry best practices. A day in the life As a PMO Specialist, your day revolves around coordinating Last Mile projects and driving data-driven decisions. You lead weekly business reviews with diverse stakeholders, analyze project data, and track customer success metrics. You collaborate with Initiative Planning Managers, Engineering teams, and operations to understand requirements and solve problems. Your role involves revamping control plans, mitigating risks, and improving processes. You spend time writing documentation, updating project management tools, and facilitating communication between teams. Your day is a dynamic mix of strategic planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management, all aimed at optimizing Last Mile Planning processes to support operations. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
