About the role The Program Manager is responsible for managing the project management lifecycle for complex and largescale project(s) and/or a portfolio of projects. This manager will work with other project and program resources, providing subject-matter expertise in the areas of program management. Additionally, the manager will work closely with them as they develop their business and project management acumen. The Program Manager will promote team member integrity, ethical compliance, and will build upon our established culture. This individual will partner with others across the enterprise to ensure a consistent approach and application of the project and portfolio management processes and procedures and will contribute to department initiatives. Fosters and champions an environment that promotes trust, self-development, continuous improvement, innovation and quality outcomes. Ensures a consistent level of quality, accuracy, compliance to GPPM standards, state and federal regulations, and internal controls. Leads the development of program requirements and scope; establishes appropriate metrics for measuring successful delivery of the projects/programs. Engages with project and product teams, business partners and stakeholders frequently on the status of key initiatives with respect to scope, schedule, cost, and resources; presents RAID logs and roadmaps to resolve or mitigate project issues or risks. Coaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project/program goals, meet deadlines, and resolve technical/operational issues. Administers the project change process when needed, formulating contingency plans to address schedule revisions, risks, costs, and scope. Ensures stakeholder alignment when addressing and implementing changes to the program / process. Maintains awareness of industry trends, practices, techniques and emerging technologies related to the project management discipline. Provides leadership to align and support global Program/Project Management community by identifying and sharing best practices and by supporting continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures. Supports onboarding new team members as needed through coaching and by providing job shadowing opportunities. Helps ensure new team members understanding of the goal and objectives of work assignments to support program/project initiatives. Facilitates the establishment of project/program requirements, scope, and metrics. Monitors all project/program economics including costs, staffing requirements, resources, and risks. Reports on these and other activities related to the project/program and meets with business partners and senior leadership to review. Captures and distributes meeting minutes highlighting decisions, action items, issues, risks, and key discussion topics as needed. Work closely with leaders in the organization to ensure project completion aligns to application / product roadmaps.
