Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to ensure all project requirements are correctly gathered, understood, and properly translated for execution. You will develop, define, and manage project plans and schedules to ensure on-time delivery while coordinating the efforts of the team to develop integrated project plans and risk analysis. You will also facilitate technical discussions, manage program meetings, and provide leaders with regular project status updates.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure all project requirements are correctly gathered, understood, and properly translated for execution.Develop, define, and manage project plans and schedules to ensure on-time delivery.Manage development of project plans with a focus on achieving project goals, including critical path analysis and use of performance metrics.Drive project/program tasks to completion in accordance with the project schedule.Coordinate the efforts of the team to develop an integrated project plan and risk analysis with action plans to mitigate risks.Review project schedules with functional managers and project coordinators.Work closely with engineering teams to effectively coordinate design inter-dependencies.Facilitate technical discussions and participate in resolving issues.Manage and facilitate program meetings and working sessions.Provide leaders with regular project status updates, including issues, opportunities for improvement, and identification of corrective actions if required.Recognize potential problem areas against the plan and identify and implement alternative solutions.Design clear and consistent messages for diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness of delivery.Exemplary verbal and written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization and outside agents.Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Essential SkillsProgram managementBusiness developmentEngineeringAerospaceDefense industryProposal writingFAR/DFARSProgram life cycleB.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 5-10 years of work experience, including 4 years managing Defense projectsExcellent understanding of the DoD program management process and methodologyExperience with electronic product manufacturing or product development in a small business environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of basic PM principles, such as those promoted by PMIExcellent organization, time management, and prioritization skillsMotivated, positive, self-starter with strong work ethicsDemonstrated ability to make timely and effective decisionsHandle multiple priorities and delegate responsibilities to ensure high-quality serviceWork Environment

The position is 100% onsite in Mahwah, NJ, working a 9/80 schedule. The organization is a tight-knit group of 47 employees operating within a shared services model for Accounting, Payroll, and HR. The work environment is centered around manufacturing, management, and design operations located in a state-of-the-art facility. The customer base is 100% military, and the products are designed to meet multiple Mil Spec standards. The team of engineers designs custom products for each program, ensuring each unit is mission-ready upon leaving the factory. Quality and reliability are paramount in this role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $160000.00
