Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Program Manager to work in our New York City Transportation Business Center who will be responsible for design, administrative, contractual, financial, and commercial management of various infrastructure projects for multiple clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

Responsible for managing design team coordination and communication with the client while addressing all project commercial and contractual issues and ensuring at all times the company's commercial and contractual position is protected and maximized.  Assisting Project Managers and Design Mangers with coordination and oversight of a multidisciplinary design team, including subconsultants. Serving as Pursuit Manager on Alternative Project Delivery (APD) opportunities in the one- or two-step procurement phase. Coordination with Project Controls staff, in their project function/role. Coordination with Commercial Management team on major projects. Prepare or Oversee development and management of the Project Scope WBS. Prepare or Oversee and approve set-up, implementation, and management of Project financial tracking and control systems, using Earned Value Management (EVM). Prepare and approve development, baselining, and tracking of the Project Design Schedule. Development and maintenance of the Project Risk Register, based on review of contract conditions, project-specific delivery requirements, client characteristics, and other projects risks. Prime Agreement management, including periodic reporting, invoicing, and change management. Subconsultant and vendor commercial management and administration, including solicitation, subconsultant agreements, invoicing, payments, and change management. Proactive interface and communication with Design Management team, Discipline Leads, Corporate Risk Management, and Financial Services, as appropriate. Prepare and issue contractual written communications, including change notifications, change requests, responses to claims notifications, etc. within the timeframes required by the Contract and/or required to protect Stantec’s position. Oversight, review, and approval of periodic Project earned value assessment, cost reporting, and cost forecasting. Provide active supervision, technical support, mentoring and training for subordinates.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Documented management experience for Alternative Project Delivery (APD) programs, large complex projects, and multiple award contracts. Applied experience with Earned Value management and forecasting. Experience with scheduling large, complex projects. Sound knowledge and experience in design contract review and administration. Strong written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated with good organizational and interpersonal skills. Able to cope with demanding schedule and lead / coordinate a multi-disciplinary team.

Education and Experience

15+ years of design and project management experience (or equivalent) Bachelor’s degree in related field required Professional Engineer (PM) license or PMP certification desirable but not required

Additional Information Salary Range(s): Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Location Description: Min/Max Pay Range(s) for postings located in NYC/NY Min Pay Range: $161,400 Max Pay Range: $242,200 Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
