Program Manager

In this role as Manager, Program Management Services, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of innovative process solutions in order to meet the current and future needs of the organization. You will provide leadership and guidance to project related staff and be responsible for all management functions of the unit.

Leads, participates, and supports businesses strategic projects and initiatives, develops project management standards for the organization, ensures proper project management and business process modelling methodologies are adhered to within the organizationManages staff issues and provides leadership, guidance, support and direction to the team including hiring staff, conducting performance reviews and follow-up, identifying training and development needs, coaching and motivating staff, coordinating work activities, managing staff issues and deciding on disciplinary action up to and including dismissal where necessaryPlans, designs and implements corporate projects including business process improvement, organization design reviews, and business process modelling, etc., liaises with stakeholders to understand requirements, leads sessions with stakeholder groups to gather information and generate new ideas and coordinates the allocation of staff to support organizational initiativesAssists with implementing and maintaining Innovation initiativesDevelops and delivers training/presentations and information sessions as requiredLeads project specific organizational change management and communication activitiesDevelops, monitors, and manages the annual departmental budgetsPursues professional and personal development through continuing education and training, literature reviews, and developing external/community contacts and networksParticipates as a member on various committeesPerforms other related duties as assignedQualifications:
University degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related disciplineProject Management Professional (PMP) designationMinimum five (5) years of progressive experience in business process reengineering or business analysis including experience supervising technical staff and project teamsExperience leading and motivating staffKnowledge of business analysis principles including business process reengineeringKnowledge of management principles and practicesKnowledge of change management methodology and project management principlesAdvanced proficiency with a personal computer and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project)Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with leadership and staffAbility to obtain, assess and evaluate data to support decisionsAbility to generate innovative solutions to work situationsAbility to adapt to and lead organizational changeAbility to develop and deliver presentations and trainingAbility to develop and manage budgetsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple demands and projects across organizational divisionsAbility to work independently as well as part of a team
