Program Manager – NATO and European Defence
Amazon Web Services has an immediate opening for a Program Manager to accelerate the adoption of AWS cloud technology in support of NATO and broader global national security and defence organisations. We are looking for a professional with strong program and project management experience. The ideal candidate possesses experience managing complex, large-scale projects and has worked in international environments.

The successful candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator both written and verbally, and will lead multi-discipline, highly technical project initiatives. They will have successfully delivered aggressive project deliverables including managing cost, schedule and performance for portfolios, programs, or individual projects. The candidate must be comfortable managing remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to troubleshoot project implementation issues, and remove barriers to project success.

Key job responsibilities
• Define, build, and manage Public Sector Programmes
• Work closely and communicate effectively with partners, AWS sales and partner teams, and AWS HQ teams around the world using a variety of mediums
• Drive transformational program implementation with internal and external stakeholders; proactively communicate with senior and executive level stakeholders
• Own customer relationships to maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships based on an exceptional customer experience.
• Work across national security and defence organisations and teams to understand functional and technical requirements to ensure the successful delivery of the programme(s).
• Develop and track key performance metrics
• Identify opportunities to improve our internal tools and processes, including driving automation of repeatable work, and increasing overall team efficiency
• Accelerate customer adoption of AWS by demonstrating the value of native cloud services.
