Program Manager, Pre-Admn Svcs - Pre-Admission Services - Full Time - Up to a $25,000 Sign On Bonus

Position can work out of Robert Packer Hospital, or Lourdes Hospital depending on incumbent's preference. This is a M-F day position, with ability to work partially remotely (subject to rules about remote work).
Position Summary
+ Functions independently in managing general department, including overseeing patient flow, oversight of patient care, and staff scheduling. Responsible for coordinating patient care, scheduling, and patient/staff assignments. Assists in support of nursing leadership with staff development in clinical skills and competency.
+ Assumes a system-wide leadership role in oversight of the care and service of the Pre-Admission Services surgical/procedural population (Robert Packer Hospital, Corning Hospital, Troy Community Hospital, Cortland Medical Center, and Guthrie Same Day Surgery Center).
+ The system Program Manager of PAS will partner and collaborate with system surgical services leaders and physicians throughout Robert Packer Hospital and The Guthrie Clinic to ensure the best patient care every patient, every time.
Education, License, & Cert
Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program. A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Licenses:
+ Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania
+ Basic Life Support (BLS)
+ Specialty certification is recommended as soon as the RN is eligible.
Experience
Graduate of an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited nursing program. A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.

+ Oversees patient and staff schedules/assignments
+ Participates in the delivery of care of the patient with the team
+ Collaborates with the team to deliver high quality patient care
+ Exhibits an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the team and recognizes individuals for their contributions
+ Helps to create a working environment that fosters employee engagement
+ Promotes meaning in the workplace and escalates concerns/barriers to nursing leadership
+ Demonstrates the ability to lead in collaboration with nursing leadership
+ Helps to positively develop the culture of the unit
+ Demonstrates skills and knowledge needed to perform the job. Seen by others as the expert resource. Understands the big picture. Stays current in field and has and uses cross-functional knowledge.
+ Demonstrates effective communication skills and excellent critical thinking.
