Job Description
We are currently searching for a Program Support Specialist to join our Mission Systems Value Stream Support team. This position is located in Fairfield, CA, and is responsible for supporting the team in all activities associated with the pursuit, order capture, and execution of existing and future programs. The emphasis is focused on supporting the program execution teams with a variety of activities, such as risk management, financial reporting, customer interaction/action reporting, contract support, and management of CDRLs, subcontract management support, and all levels of coordination with the core program team. This position coordinates activities across the shared services business model and requires collaborative working relationships with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Order Administration, Subcontracts, Quality, Finance, and Services, and will require external customer interface.
ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of industry practices and standards and use of professional concepts. Applies functional or technical principles, theories, and concepts.Receive minimal instruction on day-to-day work assignments. Plan, schedule, and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives.Network with experienced internal and external personnel in own area of expertise on issues. Represent the organization as a prime contact on key issues.Provide direction and oversight to ensure that issues/problems of moderate scope and complexity are avoided and/or resolved.Manage projects which are of moderate risk and complexity or a portion of a larger project.Ensure compliance with deadline-driven tasks, such as Last Time Buy notices and Enterprise obsolescence process approval meetings.Handle cross-enterprise coordination on obsolete components, requiring persistence to get necessary answers.Demonstrate the ability to provide logical in-depth analysis of problems or situations.Take personal initiative to proactively serve as team motivator, creating strong morale and synergy.Ensure that information has been received and accurately understood by all parties.Exhibit the personal confidence necessary to make critical decisions even amidst controversy and doubt.Ensure that all details of a project are accurate.Display energy, persistence, and a positive attitude when working on projects.Base decisions on factual information and consider alternative courses of action before reaching conclusions.Develop relationships with others based on trust.Essential SkillsProgram managementFinanceMicrosoft ExcelSAPSAP ERPAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience OR degree in business, finance, economics, or other related areas. This position is based in Fairfield, CA. The role involves regular interaction with internal teams such as Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Order Administration, Subcontracts, Quality, Finance, and Services, as well as external customer interface. The position requires managing multiple projects and deadlines, coordinating across various departments, and handling customer interactions.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
