Location: Mercy College of Ohio Shift: Days/Evenings- Full-time **SUMMARY:** Coordinates all aspects and activities of the Associate Degree Nursing Programs in Toledo and Youngstown. Responsible for the organization, administration, periodic review, planning, development, new program development, revision, and general effectiveness of the Associate Degree Nursing Programs. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** + Responsible for program oversight along with administrative operations including faculty and staff development and evaluation, workload, sequencing of courses and/or clinical sites, budget preparation and management, and coordination of the program advisory committee while keeping the Academic Dean continuously informed and involved. + In collaboration with the Academic Dean and faculty colleagues, develops and implements curriculum and completes internal and external review, assessment, and institutional effectiveness processes including but not limited to annual reports and accreditation reports; and maintains all necessary components of program accreditation. + According to current Faculty rank, teaches, serves (program, division, faculty, college, and community) and engages in scholarship. + Collaborates with colleagues and participates in student recruitment, retention, advising, and other success initiatives to support students. + Develops, supports, and leads ongoing projects and new initiatives and new programs (program, division, college) independently and as assigned. + Participates in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of faculty. + Maintains current knowledge of trends, best practices, and educational methodologies in nursing. If Master’s is not in nursing, must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. **Licensure/Certification** **Required:** Current unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse license. **Minimum Years and Type of Experience:** At least five years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse. Experience as a faculty member with 3 years of progressive leadership in higher education. **Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required** : Experience teaching in a nursing program; knowledge of curriculum design, program administration, evaluation and instruction; skillful in interpersonal, oral, and written communication; competent is appropriate use of computer technology and software, including MS Excel, MS WORD, PowerPoint, electronic email and the internet; and knowledge of the Ohio Board of Nursing regulations and accreditation standards. 5 years of progressive leadership experience including supervisory experience as a coordinator of academic initiatives within an academic program. **Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** **Preferred:** Ability to manage through shared decision-making; ability to work with a diverse group of students; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; ability to maintain confidences; commitment to the concepts of innovation; understands and supports team building strategies.
