\nWe’re searching for a strategic and creative Program Director to lead the charge. This role is not just about managing programs—it’s about building a legacy. Over time, as the organization grows, this position has the potential to transition into an Executive Director role.

About the Role
\nAs Program Director, you’ll be responsible for designing engaging and mission-driven programs, managing financial resources, leading marketing efforts, and developing a high-performing team. You’ll also be the face of the library, working closely with donors, stakeholders, and community partners to elevate our visibility and impact.
\n\n
What You’ll Do
\n\nDevelop & Execute Programs – Design and implement high-quality programs that align with our mission and attract community engagement.\nLead Organizational Growth – Shape the strategic direction in partnership with leadership, ensuring long-term sustainability.\nFinancial & Budget Oversight – Manage budgets, control expenses, and identify creative revenue-generation opportunities.\nCommunity & Donor Engagement – Serve as the organization’s ambassador, building relationships with donors, media, and stakeholders.\nMarketing & Outreach – Develop marketing strategies that boost program participation and enhance our public profile.\nTeam Leadership – Hire, mentor, and manage staff and volunteers to foster a dynamic and collaborative work environment.\nEnsure Operational Excellence – Oversee policies, compliance, and best practices to maintain organizational efficiency and financial health.\nOther Duties as Assigned – Because no two days at a cultural institution are ever the same!\n\n\n
What You Bring to the Table
\n\nBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.\n5-15 years of relevant experience in program management, nonprofit leadership, or cultural institutions.\nProven strategic leadership with a track record of driving organizational success.\nStrong financial acumen—experience with budgeting, revenue generation, and cost optimization.\nExcellent communication skills—ability to engage diverse stakeholders and represent the organization effectively.\nCreative and analytical mindset—capable of balancing big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution.\nMarketing expertise—comfortable developing campaigns that increase visibility and participation.\nFlexibility—willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holiday events as needed.\n\n\n
