PROGRAM DIRECTOR

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide direct oversight of 8 Agency Operated Boarding Homes in Brooklyn and Queens for youth who are I/DD and significant mental health diagnosis Develop and implement evidence based therapeutic models of care Develop and implement trauma informed practices in residential programs Assist in the implementation of the Family First Initiative Assure regulatory compliance with relevant City/State mandates Assure financial integrity of all programs Develop and maintain a coherent organizational environment Promote and assure superior casework services Lobby and collaborate to assure adequate and professional clinical services Create and maintain program milieus that are safe, caring, and therapeutic Develop systems, modalities, protocols, and interventions that assure healthy child development, good daily routine, effective limit setting and a broad range of activity and enrichment opportunities Assure professional group living services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Provide oversight for staff scheduling and daily programming Serve on Agency Administrative Council Serve on Agency Wide Behavior Management Committee Oversee the recruitment and selection of all new program staff Responsible for the direct supervision of clinical, medical, casework and managerial staff

 

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS Internally: Interfaces with casework staff, program management staff, quality improvement staff and other administrative support departments. Externally: Interfaces with ACS Family Team Conference Coordinators as needed; interfaces with youth, family, and community members (including ACS staff, law guardians and their representatives, other invited guests) during FTC (Family Team Conference) meetings.
