Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Program Director 1 (Fleet Sustainment) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Global Surveillance organization. This leadership role will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
Directs all 250+ contracts that encompass phases of E-2D sustainment including retrofits, spares, repairs, depot standup, support equipment, field service technicians and trainersHas responsibility for the product quality, cost, schedule, and technical performance of all contracted activitiesOversees the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contractsParticipates in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes. Acts as primary customer contact for sustainment program activitiesEstablishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and develops/implements solutionsDirects the work of employees assigned to E-2D sustainment and oversees the work performed by suppliersResponsible for meeting/exceeding the financial commitments set forth by the program and/or divisionServes as the direct interface representing Northrop Grumman to the E-2D fleetProvides strategic direction and oversight for all aspects of aircraft needs post-production to ensure readiness at the fleetOur Leaders at Northrop Grumman live our values daily and encourage our teams to do the same. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related professional/military experience as defined below OR a Master’s degree and 8 years of related professional/military experience as defined below, OR a PhD and 6 years of related professional/military experience as defined belowRelated experience includes a background in project/program management within the aerospace and defense industryAt least 5 years’ experience in program managementExperience with Earned Value Management and demonstrated financial acumenPrior experience leading large multi-functional teamsAn active DoD secret clearance, or higherPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with preparing proposals and negotiating contract and financial terms/conditionsExperience working with both major suppliers and general procurementMaster’s DegreeExperience successfully managing programs of $200M or greater in the aerospace industryExperience managing numerous contracts with multiple contract agencies simultaneouslySalary Range: $187,700.00 - $281,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
